Centra Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN School RN for a travel nursing job in The Bronx, New York.

Centra Healthcare Solutions is seeking to hire an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) that is licensed or in the immediate process, and qualifies, of obtaining RN licensure in this respective state to work in the specialty area of Schools. This assignment is flexible as a local contract, local contract to direct hire, or as a travel assignment.

Minimum Requirements include:

• Vaccination required.
• 1-2 years RN highly preferred. School nurse experience a plus
• Valid NYS RN license in good standing required.
• 9am-2pm (5hrs per day) / Guaranteed Hours per week: 25

Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Oversee general health issues for students with autism in the schools.
• Assist in tracking and obtaining annual medical and immunization records.
• Maintain confidential medical records.
• Assess student illness when students are sick in school.
• Contact parents for pick-up and/or medical establishments as needed. (i.e.: ER, Urgent Care, etc.)
• Supervise students waiting for parent pick-up.
• Consult with parents and/or healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medical treatments are provided to children being supported.
• Maintain medical/health related supply inventory.
• Attends internal team meetings as needed.
• Other related tasks as assigned.
