Ldquo;At the Letty Owings Center - a residential substance use disorder treatment program serving pregnant and parenting women with children under the age of six - the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, trauma-informed care. As a medical professional embedded within a behavioral health team, the RN supports mothers in recovery by coordinating their complex behavioral and physical health needs, conducting brief intake assessments, and monitoring for emergent health concerns through ongoing screenings. They ensure continuity of care by facilitating communication among internal treatment teams and external partners, including psychiatric providers and medication-assisted treatment services. The RN also supports client medication needs and provides guidance to the program's medication technician as needed.
