Responsible for administering nursing care to the ill or injured.

• Provides medical assistance as an out-patient or clinic worker.
• Assists the Medical Doctor or Intermediate Level Health Care Worker in the care of patients. Performs nursing practices according to level of training and requirements of the situation.
• May involve work with an ethnic group.
• May be assigned to a Center.
• May perform duties of nursing as a primary responsibility.
• May be assigned as a language worker or in other field with nursing as a secondary responsibility. May train nationals to perform nursing duties.

• Finished three year RN program.
• Experience in patient care.
• Experience or knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of tropical diseases helpful.

• RN degree.
• Experience in patient care.
• Experience or knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of tropical diseases helpful.

• Members will complete the normal training and orientation program.
• STMs will be given an individualized training and orientation program.
