Hiring for all positions: full time, part time, and PRN days and nights!

Hourly rate range: $13-$21.58

Excellent PRN rates also available!

Compensation is based on experience and relevant certifications, along with generous shift differentials.

As a Nurse Intern I, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, performing essential functions that do not require advanced nursing skills or judgment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing patient care and updating the supervising nurse on patient status and any notable changes.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized unit environment while handling medical equipment.
  • Gaining clinical experience by learning nursing techniques and disease processes, as well as interacting with physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Assisting with direct patient care activities aligned with your training and competency.

This position encourages you to promote excellent patient satisfaction and outcomes while developing your clinical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Active student status, either part-time or full-time.
  • Completed the first term of nursing courses in a professional RN or LPN/VN program.
  • Currently enrolled in and maintaining good academic standing in a nursing program.
  • Your initial term coursework must cover the fundamentals of nursing or an equivalent course.
  • Provide one or two evaluations from instructors validating satisfactory nursing fundamentals.
  • Complete and maintain core competencies and preceptor tools every 90 days and annually.
  • Consistently present proof of enrollment and passing grades in nursing classes until graduation.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in an inpatient clinical setting.

Work Environment and Requirements:

  • You will use general office equipment (computers, phones, copiers) and Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing at least 30 pounds, as well as the ability to endure prolonged standing and walking.
  • You will need visual acuity and clear speech for effective communication.
  • Ability to work under stress is essential.

This position requires regular, reliable attendance and punctuality. You will adhere to dress code standards, including wearing an ID badge, and may be required to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
