DESCRIPTION OF WORK Our enthusiastic and dedicated nursing staff provides 24-hour care, seven days a week. You will play a huge role by helping our residents prepare for their day and encouraging them to participate in exciting activities. Through this daily contact with our residents, you will have the ability to positively impact their quality of life by providing the best possible care. By taking this first step to becoming a Nurse Aide, you will be responsible for completing formal off site classroom training at our partner location, completing reading assignments, listening to lectures, watching films, observing demonstrations, and role playing. In addition, you will receive on-the-job training assignments to develop knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes necessary to provide non-professional rehabilitative nursing care. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (6:45 AM to 3:15 PM), 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), and 3rd shift (11:15 PM to 7:45 AM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days and weekends.

- Willingness to successfully complete a 120 hour training course to include 42 hours in classroom instruction, 24 hours of lab practice, held at Reading Area Community College, with the remaining 54 hours taking place at a clinical site near Reading Area Community College, and providing a certificate of completion
- Work experience caring for geriatric or physically ill individuals
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
