NP/PA First Assist Role for Cardiothoracic Surgery Procedures: Wausau. WI - SUMO Staffing : Job Details

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced NP/PA to assist with cardiothoracic surgery procedures and vein harvesting in Wausau, WI. Starting in ASAP, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

The NP/PA First Assist Role:

• Assist with cardiothoracic surgery procedures and vein harvesting.
• Minimum of 3 assistants scheduled per day.
• 1-3 surgical procedures per day.
• No hospital rounding or admission requirement.
• 1 call day per week and 1 day backup.
• 1:4 weekend call rotation.
• 20-minute response time to call.
• Low call back need, typically 1-2 times per month.
• Shifts are 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
• Call and call backup start at 3:00 PM.
• Weekend call starts Friday at 3:00 PM until Monday at 6:30 AM.

Requirements of the NP/PA First Assist Role:

• WI state license; active, unrestricted.
• Board certified NP/PA.
• WI State DEA.
• BLS, ACLS.
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery procedures and vein harvesting.
