As the Not-for-Profit Tax (NFP Tax)Senior Associate, you'lldeliver a full range of tax servicesfor your clients in the not-for-profit and healthcare industries – all with the resources,environment and support to help you excel. You'll collaborate with Not-for-Profit Tax team members andconduct basic tax research,develop and supervise staff, prepare more complex tax returns, andassist in client management and practice development activities because together is howwe succeed.From day one, you'll be empowered bygreat technology, processes, and a collaborative and thoughtful team tocontinue to extend your technical knowledge, work across new projects, and provide excellent client service and help you achieve more, confidently.
Your day-to-day may include:
- Running client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects and managing to budget
- Supervising, training, and mentoring associates and interns on tax projects and assessing performance of staff for engagement reviews; performing in-charge role as needed
- Reviewing tax returns done by staff and making recommendations on return preparationregarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities; gaining increasing responsibility in review process
- Researching and consulting on various tax matters;utilizing tax-related software to prepare and process returns and researching tax matters
- Responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities

You have the followingtechnical skills andqualifications:
- Degree(s)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Years of Experience
- Two to four years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience; experience in public accounting is a plus
- Certifications
- CPA preferred
- Relevant experience
- Previous tax return review and preparation experience(required)
- Tax compliance, federal tax returns, and state tax returns
- Ability to supervise staff and lead projects
- Strong computer skills includingproficiency in Microsoft Office Suite,GoSystems Tax software, and CCH
- Can travel as needed.Expect 10%
- Ability to workadditional hours as needed
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
