Department Overview: Operations is one of the largest divisions within the firm and carries a wide range of responsibilities. These include settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating operational risks, building client relationships, and collaborating with technology teams to maximize the benefits of IT and digital solutions. The department is consistently focused on improvement and innovation, supporting the development of new businesses, products, and markets. The Capital Markets, Core Processing, and Risk (CMCPR) team supports the Capital Markets business within Client. The Clearing & Settlement team within CMCPR plays a vital role in managing the entire trade lifecycle, including trade settlement across various asset classes and platforms. Position Summary: The Trade Support professional will be responsible for managing daily support related to trade processing and settlement. This includes trade matching, suspense account reconciliation, and coordination with internal teams, financial advisors, trading desks, and external counterparties. The candidate will serve as a key point of contact and liaison, ensuring operational efficiency and issue resolution throughout the trade lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee trade settlement and clearance across multiple asset classes
  • Conduct suspense account reconciliation and trade lifecycle balancing
  • Serve as liaison between financial advisors, trading desks, settlement departments, and market centers
  • Resolve trade discrepancies and escalations quickly and accurately
  • Support continuous improvement in clearing and settlement processes
  • Contribute to both Change the Bank and Run the Bank initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial services, ideally in trade clearance and settlements
  • Familiarity with financial products and platforms (e.g., DTCC, Fed, government securities, municipal bonds)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented and highly self-motivated
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Collaborative team player, with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; VBA is a strong plus
