NEWSCAST PRODUCER - WCAX - Gray Television : Job Details

WCAX-TV has an immediate opening for a news producer responsible for daily live newscasts. We are looking for a newsroom leader who can multi-task and make split-second decisions. The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, with strong organizational skills and excellent writing ability. Duties/ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Demonstrating creativity and strong editorial judgment - Developing and organizing newscasts - Writing and editing news scripts for TV & digital platforms - Editing video for TV & digital platforms - Giving direction to reporters and photographers on deadline - Creating graphics for new stories - Coordinating live shots - Communicating with anchors and production staff during live broadcasts - Using social media outlets to engage viewers Qualifications/ Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in journalism or related field - Excellent news judgment - Strong broadcast writing and visual storytelling skills - Strong work ethic and ability to mee...News Producer, Producer, Business Services
