Responsibilities
On a typical day, you will conduct newborn hearing screens, usually in a new mom's hospital room, and help educate parents about the importance of the screen using video and printed tools we provide. You will also be responsible for entering patient data and validating hearing screens as needed. Additional duties may include confirming or rescheduling outpatient appointments, following up on equipment issues, and training new staff.
- Performing newborn hearing screens
- Verifying insurance information with parents/guardians
- Documenting hearing screen results accurately
- Following protocols for timely billing submissions
- Adhering to security and identification procedures for infants
- Following infection control, safety policies, and other hospital, company, and program guidelines
- Recognizing potential problems and seeking assistance promptly
- Completing company and hospital orientation and patient privacy training
- Maintaining employee health requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience working with infants preferred
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk most of the shift
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 pounds frequently
Minimum Qualification/Education Level: High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Experience Duration: One to three months related experience.

The pay range for this position is $21.38 - $23.88 per hour, depending on experience.
