We design, integrate, manufacture, install, and maintain this equipment for a diverse portfolio of end users in various industries including Agro-Chem, Commercial, Critical Power, Government, Health Care, Industrial / Mining, Marine, Military, Multifamily Residential, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Rail / Transit, Utilities, and Water / Wastewater. Myers products are in operation at 9 of the 10 largest US subway systems, by the five largest electrical utilities, all four branches of the US military, and one in five Fortune 100 companies.

This position is based at our North Canton, Ohio location.

• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned exempt and non-exempt direct reports.
• Negotiate pricing agreements with major component suppliers.
• Create and implement department policies and standards.
• Prepare materials schedules in coordination with all operations departments.
• Oversee materials reduction and return programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform all duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or management.

The Buyer is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.

• College degree or equivalent experience in engineering or manufacturing operations preferred.
• Five or more years of purchasing experience.
• Excellent leadership capabilities.
• An engineering background is helpful/preferred.
