Job Description Required Certification:• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Required Skills/ Experience:• Agile and Waterfall software development concepts: 10 Years• Sr. level Project Management practices and principles; Project Management Life Cycle(PMLC): 10 Years• Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC): 10 Years• Experience with successfully leading project teams through implementations, including at least one successfully led project of $1M or higher: 10 Years Desired Skills/ Experience: • MITA Architecture • Vendor management and contract oversight: 5 Years• Working knowledge of Advance Planning Document (APD) process for obtaining federal grants from CMS: 5 Years• Knowledge of/experience with MS Project, including creating, managing, analyzing, and reportion on integrated project schedules: 10 Years• Working knowledge of or experience with Medicaid and/or other health claims processing systems: 5 Years• Health information exchanges and system interoperability ABOUT THE ROLE• The Project Manager will report directly to the Project Management Office (PMO) Director and lead multiple, complex IT initiatives within the modular Medicaid Enterprise System (MES)• The Project Manager will initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, and close projects as assigned and in accordance with state/federal regulations and industry best practices• The Project Manager will propose innovative solutions and business process improvements, manage project risks and issues, work independently within the PMO structure, and curate project organizational process assets and reports• The incumbent will also provide counsel and advice to the PMO Director on all operational issues within PMO including, but not limited to staffing, contracts, meetings, and process improvements• The position will ensure streamlined activities within PMO based on the priorities of the Director and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) including ensuring project deadlines are met and technical/operational issues are elevated and resolved when necessary• The candidate will interact and coordinate with all levels of CLIENT, including with external vendors, federal partners, and oversight entities, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CLIENT, and others
