What You Get To Do:

The State Director oversees the administration and growth of services in New Jersey. Currently, New Jersey Dungarvin employs approximately 300 staff serving 140 individuals across 20+ residential and day program locations, with annual revenue exceeding $20 million.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting strategic operations
  • Managing marketing and fiscal direction
  • Expanding existing services and developing new lines of business
  • Evaluating programs and services
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, standards, and laws
  • Representing Dungarvin and liaising with senior staff and funding authorities

The State Director also nurtures relationships with business partners, including local, state, and federal agencies, advocacy groups, trade associations, and other stakeholders.

What Makes You A Great Fit:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services (psychology, counseling, allied health, education psychology, sociology, etc.); master's preferred
  • Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in the human services industry, specifically with DD/ID populations, plus 5 years of senior management experience
  • Experience managing day programs, supported living, or residential programs for DD/ID populations at a senior management level
  • Financial management skills with experience overseeing budgets of $18 million or more and P&L accountability
  • Previous experience with New Jersey systems and DD Waiver services preferred

Other Details:

  • The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible), with potential evening, weekend, and overnight hours as needed
  • Travel within New Jersey is required
