A facility is seeking a neurosurgeon for locums coverage.

The facility is located in central Iowa.

This position involves 24-hour call shifts covering three date ranges: November 24 to December 1, December 22 to December 29, and December 29 to January 5. The role includes 78 consecutive days and nights of call at a Level II Trauma Center with an annual ER volume of 65,000, using Epic EMR. There are four neurosurgeons in practice, supported by a dedicated neuro-ortho surgery team and an APP for all cases. Average surgical volume is about one case per day, focusing on adult patients needing complex neurosurgical procedures such as cranial and spine surgeries, trauma repair, and neurocritical care interventions. Estimated credentialing takes about 90 days.
