Who You'll Work With

We are experiencing growth and need a collaborative, self-motivated Pre-Sales Network Systems Engineer or Network Architect to support our Hyperscale customers alongside our Account teams.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, gathering requirements and identifying opportunities.
  • Partner with Account Managers to understand customer pain points, conduct network architectural reviews, and present Arista's solutions including Data Center and Cognitive Campus networking, CloudVision, Security, Endpoint Security, and Fabric Monitoring.
  • Design and propose Arista Data Center & Campus network solutions using leaf-spine architectures (VxLAN, EVPN) and overlays.
  • Collaborate with hyperscalers on next-generation architectures and products.
  • Lead NPI and scale production for hyperscalers.
  • Perform hands-on tests to validate designs, proof-of-concepts, and deployments.
  • Create design guidelines and recommend network improvements.
  • Assist Sales Team with RFP/RFQ responses.
  • Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering.
  • Represent Arista at industry events and conferences.
  • Stay informed on competitive solutions and industry trends.
  • Author white papers on technology and products.

    • Qualifications

    • Experience in Cloud Network Architecture, Design, and Engineering.
    • Strong understanding of cloud networking principles.
    • Experience with network automation and analytics.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • BS/CS/CE degree required.
    • Network certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE) preferred.
    • Minimum of 7+ years in L2/L3 networking design and implementation, focusing on Data Center, Campus, and Wi-Fi solutions.
    • Expertise in routing and switching protocols.
    • Recent experience with leaf-spine architecture design.
    • Experience with network automation using Python and Ansible.
    • Previous roles as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar are preferred.
    • Deep knowledge of Ethernet, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, QoS.
    • Familiarity with industry-standard CLI and competitive products.
