Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: Performs specialized technical duties related to the support of local area network, wide area networks and the equipment supporting connectivity throughout the organization and connectivity from facilities to the corporate office/Siemens Data Center. Responsible for overall maintenance and support of network and telecom equipment and components such as but not limited to; VPN access, remote access, wireless bridges and antennas, routers, switches, circuits, wiring closets, fiber cabling, racks, power units, etc. Position is responsible for the resolution of connectivity, configuration, security issues and providing a specialized level of technical support to the Help Desk staff. The STHS network is part of an extensive networking backbone, this position is responsible for the knowledge associated with a large variety of networking technologies. Position understands advance concepts of logical network structure and utilizes knowledge in the delivery of network solutions. This position provides these services while maintaining the highest level of customer service and commitment to the Service Excellence Program. Qualifications Qualifications

• Ability for abstract reasoning and a talent for explaining the abstractions in concrete terms.
• Ability to empathize with people of many backgrounds functioning at any staff or operational level in the hierarchy of the hospital.
• Ability to communicate effectively when presenting recommendations, tactful when identifying existing managerial problem areas, and patient and meticulous in implementation.
• Ability to recognize, analyze and resolve complex hardware, software, system, and network problems.
• Able to travel 25% of time.
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHSs Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

Education / Licensure

• Bachelors or Associate Degree in CS, CIS, or related with emphasis in Networking or demonstrated leadership experience with the support of a large and diverse network environment.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with networks, server maintenance, operating systems, application and database management experience required.
• Proficiency in multiple types of network architectures, protocols, tools and equipment.
• Supported network in a large complex environment that include an Active Directory domain, wireless networks, vlans, wans, and multiple lans.
• Advanced network, server, and PC troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with participating or managing projects.
• Experience utilizing computer hardware and software systems such as, Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet, E-Mail, Inventory, Database software.
