Position Summary: The Network & Security Architect manages, documents, and enhances product implementations. This position is responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance/support, and provide technical expertise and architectural solutions in networking and cybersecurity areas. The Network & Security Architect assumes a lead role in IT for the development of security architecture and standards, in addition to supervising and mentoring members of the department. This position also requires expertise in various network operating systems and architecture, cybersecurity technologies and strategies. The Network & Security Architect will work closely with the Applications Architect, and cross-functionally with various IT teams, including Cybersecurity, IT Help Desk, Projects, and Networking to resolve technical issues, but also to facilitate infrastructure/system ownership transition. Essential Functions: 1. Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Graton Resort & Casino's Company-wide culture and demonstrating Graton Resort & Casino's Service Standards at all times. 2. Work with the network and cybersecurity team to identify the need for new security and network technology solutions; design, review and collaborate on the deployment of new solutions. Contribute to the discovery, development, and implementation of network and security technology solutions for the enterprise environments and architecture. 3. Participate in request for information/request for proposal (RFI/RFP) and vendor selection processes and leads the technical design of the deployment. Technologies might include: Database security, Enterprise encryption -- application and whole disk, Authentication and authorization systems, such as multi-factor, federated, single-sign-on, Active Directory/Light Weight Access Protocol (AD/LDAP), Cloud computing/virtualization, Container security, Data Leakage Identification and Prevention, Network/Wireless access controls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Security Incident and Event Management, Web application firewalls, Host based controls, Application gateway security controls, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) security controls. 4. Act as a subject matter expert on the implementation and capabilities of all existing security controls within Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), particularly in the case of complex and complicated security issues. 5. Conduct system architecture for new technology to ensure best practices, document security solutions, and enable re-use of processes. 6. Handle the ongoing documentation, development, implementation and maintenance of processes, procedures, and services associated with architecture functions including ensuring requirements and deliverables are clearly defined. 7. Collaborate with IT and Business teams to ensure security and network architectures are appropriately assessed. 8. Work with Engineering and Operations teams to plan and implement new technologies and security solutions in alignment with industry best practice and commonly accepted principles of secure design. 9. Perform other functions as designed. Required Qualifications: 1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form. 2. Bachelor's Degree in cybersecurity and/or at least five (5) years of experience in Information Security and Networking. 3. Three (3) plus years of experience with security technologies such as, application security, cloud security, containerization, data leakage prevention, encryption techniques, identity and access management, mobile security, network security, and virtualization security. 4. TOGAF certification is a plus. 5. Advanced knowledge of IP/Transport data network engineering design principles, guidelines and standards. 6. Advanced knowledge in design and implementation of highly resilient and scalable network architecture as it relates to the following, but not limited to: Layer 1,2 and 3, LAN, WAN, MPLS, and QoS. 7. Knowledge of transport technologies such as, Multiplexing, DWDM, SONET, etc. 8. IP4 and/or IPv6 address planning. 9. Gaming industry experience preferred. 10. Knowledge of agile processes and continuous deployment. 11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across business teams. 12. Excellent analytical and organizational skills required. 13. Knowledge of EA tools preferred. Physical Requirements: 1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. 2. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment. 3. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. 4. Must be able to sit, crouch, kneel, crawl, and reach. 5. Ability to work with typical hardware and cabling practices required. 6. Must have the ability to perform basic office tasks and sit at a desk for an extended period to time. Job requires extensive use of computers and phones. 7. Ability to talk, hear, sit and use hands and fingers, and reach in all directions. 8. Must be able to work during established business hours and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
