Network Security Engineer - Cybertec : Job Details

Job Title: Network Security Engineer Hybrid (At least 2 days on-site) Placement type: 6-month Contract to Hire Location: Manhattan, New York Rate $65/hr.c2c Client : Telecommunication Description: Our client is looking for a Sr. Network Security Engineers. In this position, you will be working with a team of 7 engineers to deliver network security, design and engineering services for the client's enterprise network. This person will be called on to plan, design, install, manage and maintain the overall enterprise network from a network security side. These positions will be working on overall support supporting their ticketing systems with VPN issues etc. To handling projected based work. A specific project they currently have is Re-Designing the internet infrastructure from building out a new IP Addressing to site to site VPN's, etc. Another area that is going to be a big ask in this role will be building out the Forescout platform. The Forescout Platform continuously identifies, protects and ensures the compliance of all managed and unmanaged cyber assets IT, IoT, IoMT and OT without business disruption. It delivers comprehensive capabilities for network security, risk and exposure management, and extended detection and response. With seamless context sharing and workflow orchestration via ecosystem partners, it enables you to manage cyber risk and mitigate threats more effectively. This engineer will need to have current experience and well versed to do this. Top Skills : 5+ years of technical and network design experience with in a large enterprise environment 3+ years of related experience with Cisco products (routing/switching--Nexus Series, Catalyst, etc.) Experience in analysis of business system requirements Experience with the following technologies : Palo Altos, Nexus 3k, 5k, 7k, Cisco 6500, 4500, 3800, ASR, ISR, routing protocols (EIGRP, RIP, BGP, ISIS, multicast), Gigamon.F5 load balancing. Network certification CCIE or equivalent experience level is highly preferred They will be responsible for: Design, maintain, and monitor extensive Firewall and F5 environments per hospital standards. Implement and support multi-vendor Firewall platforms featuring Palo Alto series Firewalls and Cisco ASA. Daily Maintenance and checks of all Firewall and F5 ( all modules) related equipment. Maintain and organize reporting information and documentation for Management review Maintain both high level and detailed levels of documentation as required for all PaloAlto, F5 and Gigamon environments. Perform routine maintenance functions for all systems including OS upgrades, hardware fixes, etc Provide second and third level support for all Firewall and F5 systems. On Call responsibilities on a rotating basis. Evening and weekend work on occasion. Minimum Requirements: At least 7 years working with Network Firewalls / Palo Alto experience is preferred. At least 5 years working with F5 LTM Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify the cause of an issue and determine a solution. Professional attitude and appearance.
