QualificationsEntry-level scripting experience in JavaScript, Perl, Python, or any scripting language, including developing ad hoc reports or network maintenance tools.
Manage the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of the organization's local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN). Monitor the performance and security of fiber networks and related components to ensure consistent reliability. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues on passive optical networks and related network elements by supporting Central Office and Field Technicians to quickly address network degradation or failure. Support ongoing network maintenance and upgrade initiatives to enhance and expand the network for next-generation WAN/LAN Voice and Data solutions. Usually reports to a Senior Manager or above. Typically requires a BS degree and 5-7 years of experience in a NOC or network transport environment.
