Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for installing and maintaining various network components, equipment, software, and applications within labs. The candidate will install, configure, and support multiple network devices in various configurations.
Note: This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
Core Responsibilities
Update LAB Visio network architecture diagrams, including OTN ASN.Document procedures for adding new network devices to the DT infrastructure, including Radius, AAA, DNS, Visio, etc.Review and contribute to new technical requirements.Participate in defining lab design strategies.Install, configure, and maintain test environment equipment.Configure network equipment, including Radius, AAA, DNS, VTY Access lists.Proactively identify and resolve technical and operational issues.Verify, develop, and test reported bugs.Engage with vendors to resolve equipment issues and anticipate future needs.Provide a Bill of Materials for future equipment needs.Report weekly on system design and maintenance activities.Coordinate between departments to ensure smooth operations.Travel between labs in PA and NJ; based in Downingtown, PA with 90% of work onsite.Technical Requirements
Proficiency in Outlook, MS Office, and performance monitoring tools.Knowledge of IP management tools like IP-Control or IP-Plan.Proficiency with Cisco Switch/Router IOSs and physical equipment.Fluency in Juniper and Arista IOS.Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Foundry network hardware.Strong understanding of IP networks, subnetting, and protocols.Experience with Ethernet analyzers like Wireshark.Knowledge of packet loss, crosstalk, BER, ISO model.Experience with bandwidth analysis, trace routing, TCP/IP stack.Understanding of WANs, LANs, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls.Experience with routing protocols BGP, OSPF, SPT, and ACLs.Knowledge of multicast protocols and traffic management.Knowledge of optical equipment like CWDM, DWDM, SFPs, GBICs.Experience with Load Balancers and IP/server networks (DNS, DHCP, NAT).Experience configuring multicast transport devices.Experience with cable modems, eMTAs, STBs.Attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to work independently.Willingness to take on additional tasks and lead when necessary.Self-motivated and eager for continuous learning.Requirements
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience.Experience in cable TV or telecommunications industry preferred.5+ years in IT Infrastructure/Network, particularly in CO, Headend, or NOC environments.Experience with Cisco CNR or BACC is a plus.CCNP and JUNOS certifications are pluses.Skills
Arista Switches, BGP, Cisco IOS XR, Cisco IP, Junos OS, Routing Protocols.
