NYC-Based - Hybrid Role

About the Role:

Our client, a long-standing NYC-based investment management firm and hedge fund, is seeking a highly capable Infrastructure Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment alongside a talented technology team supporting mission-critical systems.

This role is ideal for someone with strong network infrastructure experience, particularly with Meraki, firewalls, and core networking protocols. You'll be involved in troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure, while collaborating closely with teams across IT, security, and operations. Compensation is competitive, with base salary, incredible benefits, profit sharing, exceptionally strong bonus, and a robust benefits package that all starts day one of employment (no waiting period).

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage and support the ongoing maintenance and improvement of network infrastructure, including Meraki switches, access points, and firewalls
• Support internal automation initiatives by building and maintaining low-code workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes
• Assist with the administration and user support of SharePoint environments, including permissions management and content organizationTroubleshoot user and system connectivity issues, escalating when appropriate and resolving with a team oriented, problem-solving mindset
• Collaborate on projects related to infrastructure scalability, uptime, and cross-office connectivity
• Assist in implementing firewall rules, VPN access, and other security-first networking configurations
• Monitor system performance and availability, using analytics and diagnostics tools to drive improvements
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide hands-on support for infrastructure-driven solutions
• Create and maintain documentation on technical workflows, systems architecture, and network configurations

Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Meraki, firewall configuration, and network monitoring
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and general networking principles
• Comfort working in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment, ideally within hedge funds, investment management, or private equity / venture capital
• Exposure to infrastructure security best practices and compliance-sensitive environments
• Highly organized, communicative, and capable of juggling multiple priorities
