About This Job GoldenTech's Air and Space Force Solutions division has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Network Engineer/COMSEC Custodian to join our network team. The selected candidate will play an essential role within our Information Services team, supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. Duties and Responsibilities: Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, ACLs, VPN, QoS)Operate within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes to the network infrastructureImplement security tools, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the company's security teamCoordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionPerform technical work requiring in-depth knowledge and application of network engineering principles, theories, and best practicesManage network engineering processes across the lifecycle, reporting on project status and progress against specific plansResearch and stay informed on emerging trends, techniques, methods, and best practices in network engineeringWhat's In It For You: Competitive wagesMedical and dental coverage401(k) planPaid time offRewards & recognition programsWork Location:Hill Air Force Base, Utah Travel:Less than 10% Certification Requirement:The applicant must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher certification requirements upon hire. Clearance Requirement:This position requires an active final Top Secret clearance upon hire. The applicant must be able to maintain their security clearance. US Citizenship Requirement:This position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements. Required Education, Experience, & Skills: HS diploma and 11+ years of related experience, orBS/BA degree and 7+ years of related experience, orMA/MS degree with 5+ years of related experienceRelevant Skills and Experience: Network engineering experience, including design, configuration, maintenance, patching, and upgradesAbility to communicate effectively with internal and external resourcesProficiency in managing multiple projects, timelines, and communicationsTroubleshooting and resolving support tickets, including end-user support via phone, email, and remote controlUse of DISA STIG checklists to assess and document compliancePreferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Experience configuring and installing network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)Performing network maintenance and system upgrades (e.g., service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations)Monitoring performance, ensuring system availability and reliabilityLevel-2/3 support and troubleshooting expertiseDocumentation skills for network configuration, mapping, processes, and service records
