We're hiring a Network Engineer for a long-term remote contract to support enterprise-level network and security operations. This role is focused on managing and enhancing network infrastructure using Palo Alto firewalls and other next-generation technologies. You'll play a key role in day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and long-term architecture planning.

This position is ideal for a technically strong, certification-backed engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and can work independently while collaborating across teams.

What You'll Do:

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure
• Implement and support Palo Alto firewalls and security policies
• Optimize routing and switching configurations across multi-site environments
• Perform system upgrades, migrations, and patching with minimal disruption
• Analyze network traffic, logs, and performance metrics to ensure system health
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and resolve escalated network issues
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and network redundancy efforts
• Document network topologies, configurations, and change management processes
• Collaborate with other engineers, cybersecurity, and IT support teams to align systems with business goals

What You Bring:

• CCNP and PCNSE certifications required
• 3+ years of professional experience in network engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
• Proficiency with routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and network segmentation
• Familiarity with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) is a plus
• Solid understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other network security principles
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Skills:

• Experience supporting distributed enterprise environments
• Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, or Juniper networking solutions
• Knowledge of scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell)
