Network Engineer - Selectek : Job Details

Selectek is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network hardware, protocols, security, and performance optimization across both LAN and WAN environments.Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and support enterprise-level networking solutions (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs).Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.Configure and maintain network infrastructure including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar platforms.Implement and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, access control, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to plan and execute network-related projects.Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures.Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts.Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards and policies.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).3+ years of experience in network engineering or systems administration.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching technologies (VLANs, STP).Experience with Cisco IOS/NX-OS, firewall configuration (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or ASA).Familiarity with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.)Understanding of cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) preferred.Previous experience and being able to stage and configure equipment (switches, access points, others)Being able to upgrade firmware on equipment (switches, access points, others)Deep understanding on networking at various levelsExperience troubleshooting network connections and devices with customers face to face and under pressureBeing self-sufficient and self-motivated (candidate will work alone most of the time)Good communication with clients contacts regarding network requirements and issuesCCNA equivalence certificationPay Rate:  $40.86- $48.06Term: 6-month temp to permIf you are qualified and interested in this opportunity, please send an updated resume to [email protected] OR contact Kyle Lankswert directly by calling 470-###-####.Â
