Network Architect - Jobs via Dice : Job Details

• Design and document secure IT/OT network architectures that meet business and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams and documentation for LAN, WAN, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Configure and manage networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Fortinet products.
• Implement and monitor network security protocols such as VPNs, IDS/IPS, and zero‑trust frameworks.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Plan for network scalability and future growth aligned with business needs.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to align network solutions with strategic goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Lead network-related projects from design through implementation and support.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and platforms to enhance network and security posture.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Expert level experience in network architecture with a focus on security.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency with Azure Cloud, Fortigate, Cisco, and other networking technologies.

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CCNP/CCIE (Cisco Certified Network Professional/Expert)
• AWS Security Specialty (for cloud‑focused roles)
• TOGAF, SABSA, or NIST SP800‑53 (for enterprise architecture frameworks)

• Network engineering, firewall, router, WAN, Fortigate, Azure Cloud, NIST, ISO, risk assessment.

The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $110.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Hamilton, Ontario.
