If this sounds like you, Dot Foods wants you on our team.As a Network Administrator, you'll be responsible for long and short-term network (LAN/WAN) planning, design, and optimization. In teaming with the business, the Network Administrator develops strategies and direction for network systems solutions using current and emerging technologies. This position translates business requirements into network or process designs and plans and recommends network hardware, systems management software and architecture to ensure compliance. The Network Administrator may take on the role of Project Leader for special enterprise-wise assignments.WHAT YOU'LL DOMonitors network performance/tuning, ensures capacity planning is performed and is proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement and evaluates new server-based upgradesInstalls, configures and maintains routers, switches, and hubs for the network systems (wireless and VoIP)Develops and maintains documentation regarding network configurations, operating procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and softwareMonitors network links for LAN/WAN and assists in training staff in implementations, maintenance, and support of LAN/WANProvides guidance in client computer operating systems, computer naming, and usernamesApply lean tools and thinking to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the positionYOU MUST HAVEBachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field)3+ years in LAN/WAN networking experienceExperience in troubleshooting procedures and designing resolution scriptsAbility to lift boxes up to 50 poundsAbility to work independently as well as within a team environmentStrong interpersonal skills working with team and business usersProfessional verbal and written skillsYOU MAY ALSO HAVEExperience with:Administering Internet Protocol (IP) addressingFollowing and applying standard work instructionsApplying lean tools and thinking to identify and eliminate wasteWorking with security systemsCompleting network documentationROLE SPECIFICSTravel - Occasional overnight travel.
