Neonatology Nurse Practitioner - MedExcellence : Job Details

Join an expanding team in a wonderful opportunity as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or experienced NICU-trained Physician Assistant at a progressive hospital in Brooksville, Florida. This facility features a 20-bed Level-III NICU with an average daily census of 12-20 and approximately 1,600 annual deliveries. With on-site Neonatologists and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists, this role provides support and collaboration in a thriving community located along Florida's picturesque Nature Coast.

• Provide specialized care in a 20-bed Level-III NICU.
• Work 16-hour shifts with the possibility of 24-hour shifts as the unit expands.
• Collaborate with fellow medical professionals including Neonatologists and sub-specialists.
• Maintain a calm and efficient environment during high-stress situations.
• Ensure excellent communication with families regarding medical care.

• For NNP Candidates:
  • Master s Degree in Nursing.
  • Board Certified in NNP (no other NP certifications accepted).
  • A minimum of 2 years of current NNP experience (not including RN or training).
• For PA Candidates:
  • Master s Degree in Physician Assistant studies.
  • Board Certified through NCCPA.
  • Completion of a Neonatal PA training program is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of current PA experience in NICU (not including training).

• Current Florida License (or willing to obtain).
• DEA certification to be obtained prior to start.
• Clean malpractice and licensing history is highly preferred.
