Need Director of Networking and Infrastructure - 360 IT Professionals : Job Details

This is Priya Sharma from 360 IT Professionals Inc., a staffing specialist working directly with clients across all US states, including local and commercial sectors. We specialize in IT services, mobile development, web development, and cloud computing, delivering high-performance results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, implement, and support up-to-date network technology to establish reliable data and voice communications on campus.
• Design, implement, and support servers and storage environments to support GGC applications, including centralized computing services, networking, telecommunications, cable TV infrastructure, and educational technology.
• Develop strategic plans and policies aligned with USG requirements for the Office of Educational Technology.
• Explore effective and innovative hardware and software solutions.
• Manage secure, reliable, high-performing network and server infrastructures.
• Oversee large, complex environments and interface with hosted solutions.
• Ensure reliable 24/7 enterprise operations by analyzing technical problems and applying effective solutions, including programming and electronic system integration.
• Collaborate with the CIO to procure equipment, services, and maintenance agreements.
• Create and maintain up-to-date service level agreements.
• Develop and update operational and configuration procedures to maintain system and network standards.
• Establish and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Review project plans with the Project Management Office to ensure successful implementation of network and infrastructure projects.
• Lead the team in providing services, maintaining system software, managing LDAP and Active Directory, server security, UNIX servers, and troubleshooting system issues.
• Direct daily operations, analyze workflows, set priorities, develop standards, and supervise staff, working with the CIO on staffing decisions.
• Determine system and network requirements based on customer needs.
• Identify complex problems, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
• Monitor network and system performance indicators and take corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or 7+ years of experience in network and server system design and evaluation.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in an IT environment.
• 5+ years of experience managing UNIX systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on server administration in Microsoft Windows and UNIX environments.
• Experience with Windows Server and UNIX system upgrades and migrations.
• Hands-on experience in server and network administration and end-user support.
• Experience with technical project planning, change management, and documentation.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Five years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Network Architecture and Planning.
