SUMMARYThis position examines material in a way that will not impair its usefulness using a range of science based tests for the Huntington, WV and the Burnaugh, KY facilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Visual and Dimensional inspections of SMC manufactured products. Automated and manual nondestructive inspection of products using UT, PT and ET primarily in the Cold Draw, Plate and Chip Shop departments. Inspection measurement tools verification and calibration in Huntington and Burnaugh. Support for safety and R&D directives as appropriate using applicable test methods in locations as needed. This assignment will include any or all NDT activities in varying degrees as talents and needs dictate.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school graduate, some college preferred; general computer system familiarity.SPECIAL SKILLS Interest in nondestructive testing or other quality assurance/control functions. Comfortable with written instruction. Decision maker, comfortable working alone or in small group. Confident and able to reason and determine compliance to complex requirements related to tests/inspections performed.
