What You'll Do
- This position requires a commitment to managing the department for continued growth, with a strong emphasis on business development and marketing initiatives.
- Other responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of environmental technicians and project managers (must supervise at least 2 full-time employees), overseeing environmental services projects and report reviews, preparing proposals for environmental services, managing departmental P&L, and assisting other senior staff in marketing our services by maintaining and developing client interactions.
- The primary duty of this position is supervision of employees and daily management of the department.
- This position may involve report preparation and project management duties based on the needs of the department.
- Initiate project setup and implementation under the direct supervision of senior staff.
- Basic knowledge of federal, state, and local wetlands regulations and guidelines, and their implications on findings and conclusions in studies.
- Work with senior staff to develop an understanding of the relation of field observations and sample results to findings and conclusions in the report.
- Assist on wetland and natural resource projects.
- Assist Staff PM with generating pre-field mapping; assist with NR field work under supervision of Staff PM or above. GPS operation and collection. Map generation from field data collection under supervision.
What We're Looking For
- BS in Biology, Ecology, Botany, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field; MS preferred.
- 10+ years of natural resources/wetlands delineation/endangered species experience.
- Relationships held with regulatory agencies would be advantageous.
