OVERVIEW: Behlen Mfg. Co. is proud to be the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of DonoBrace® in North America. DonoBrace® is a patented tension-only bracing system that delivers fast and easy design, engineering, and installation. It is the highest-capacity tension rod system on the market while weighing far less than other bracing systems, giving each building project increased strength, stability, and versatility. Behlen is looking for a National Sales Representative to grow business with General Contractors, Erector-Installers, Developers, Architects, etc. in the Steel Construction sector (Commercial & Industrial focus). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service the national territory by calling, having virtual meetings or travelling to existing and potential customers to conduct sales calls, lunch and learns, meetings, surveys, training, equipment site visits, and troubleshooting while growing sales volume and market share.
- Accountable to deliver on KPI's related to sales and market share growth as set forth annually.
- Build and maintain market knowledge, including primary customer needs to determine volume, potential, pricing, and advertising.
- Participate in trade and industry-related exhibitions, shows, demonstrations, and meetings
- Work closely with the administrative team and share customer service duties as necessary, including supporting credit collections.
- Maintain clear and concise project and customer records and document all meetings with customers.
- Work toward continuous improvement of product quality using our ISO 9000 systems.
- Responsible for other tasks as required by the Business Unit President company .
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field, or at least five years of experience required with a in steel construction, preferably with sales related experience. manufacturer and in a sales related position.
- Must be comfortable with travel and be willing to travel frequently, with a minimum expectation of fifty percent travel.
- Working technical knowledge of the steel construction industry, in general, is preferred.
- Proven track record of sales growth, annually, and account management.
- Ability to recruit new accounts and provide excellent customer service.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with programs such as excel, word, power point, and CRM programs are required. Working knowledge of MBS software is a benefit.
- Working knowledge and use of lead generation software, such as ZoomInfo.
- A highly motivated, confident, and positive attitude is a must.
- Ability to work with little supervision. and meet short deadlines on a regular basis.
- Positively interact with team members and provide solutions to problems expeditiously.
- Data driven with the ability to analyze markets as well as build/implement a business plan.
- Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including good oral and written English skills.
