Description

Overview: Reporting to the VP Head of Sales, the National Account Director, GPO, Trade and Distribution is responsible for leading customer engagement with identified oncology and specialty immunology GPO accounts and specialty distributors. This role involves developing strategic solutions, implementing account plans, and focusing on both new and existing account relationships, especially within the GPO business, including c-suite, pharmacy leadership, clinical management, and membership management. Insights from customer interactions and cross-functional collaboration will be key to leading strategic GPO portfolio planning and alignment with field sales for product launches.

In this role, you will:

  • Negotiate and execute contracts with targeted accounts, facilitate access for clinical and economic discussions, and implement initiatives within GPOs and other accounts.
  • Manage specialty and oncology GPOs and community business by providing product messaging, insights, and resources to secure business.
  • Collaborate with internal divisions (National Accounts, Managed Markets, Sales, Contract & Pricing, Medical, Legal/Compliance, Operations, Marketing) as the main contact for account decisions.
  • Support launch planning for biologics and biosimilars by developing access strategies for GPO customers.
  • Develop account plans to ensure optimal access for product launches.
  • Formulate and assess business plans with internal teams to meet objectives and utilize resources effectively.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 8 in market access account management or leadership.
  • GPO account management experience and existing relationships with key oncology GPOs.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Success in gaining formulary positioning for key products.
  • Experience in sales, government, or managed account sales within bio-pharma.
  • Leadership, project management, and team development skills.
  • Experience with launching new products or start-ups.

The annual base salary ranges from $210,000 to $225,000, with additional benefits such as a company car or allowance, bonuses, health benefits, 401k match, and flexible PTO.
