My son is 10 non verbal and needs assistance with changing his diaper and eating. Other wise he's pretty simple. Put the tv on his favorite show and he's content the whole time. He's pretty tall and he will stand and take steps. He does not walk unassisted but he can feed himself by hand without utensils and drink from his sippy cup. You really wouldn't have to do anything other than keep him in the living room and feed him breakfast and lunch and change him when wet.
