Music Teacher (Manhattan Citadel Corps) - The Salvation Army Eastern Territory : Job Details

Provide one-on-one lessons (Using Keep. S - Afe guidelines), vocal instruction (Group or Solo) and other musical instruction. Teach and/or lead Corps Brass Band and Singing Company. Secure, organize, maintain and provide constant upkeep of all equipment, instruments, and files of the Corps music department. Facilitate the participation of students during Music Sundays which take place at least 1 Sunday per month. Prepare students for participation in Divisional and Territorial Star Search music and arts competition. Assist with logistics of transportation, chaperoning, preparation, and leading on competition date. Encourage and support youth participation in Divisional music and arts programs by making sure participants are ready for auditions, music camps, and conservatories. Qualifications Must be bilingual (English and Spanish)Must have basic office skills including the use of computers.
