Job Description Municipal Surveillance Associate - General Obligation SectorPosition SummaryTop Insurance company is seeking an Associate to join the U.S. Public Finance Surveillance team. This employee will be responsible for collecting and organizing data from various sources, as well as reviewing, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting on a large portfolio of U.S. Public Finance credits.Primary ResponsibilitiesComplete analysis and prepare written reviews of credits in the assigned sectors, adhering to a review schedule.Develop and maintain understanding of the key risk attributes of the assigned portfolios.Monitor credit quality and trends concerning individual risks and the overall portfolio.Perform ad hoc analysis for reports to senior management and the Board, including in conjunction with special projects.Assist in preparing materials (including charts and graphs) for sector review presentations.Manage client and external relationships effectively, including processing amendment and consent requests and interacting with obligors, bankers, rating agencies, advisors, or others as required.Candidate BackgroundBachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, public administration, economics, or business.2-4 years' relevant experience preferred (rating agency, buy-side, sell-side, insurer, or government finance).Team player with the ability to multi-task across several projects.Ability to analyze and project cash flows.Strong written and oral communication skills for clear and concise information conveyance.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills, with willingness to work additional hours when needed.Self-starter with quick learning ability and capacity to retain information or processes.Proficiency with external applications (including Microsoft 365: Excel, PowerPoint, Word), internal IT systems, and information sources.HUBRID, 3 DAYS IN OFFICE#J-18808-Ljbffr
