ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide customer service in person, by phone, and electronically to the public, attorneys, law enforcement, and other court users.
- Process and file a wide range of legal documents and court records with accuracy and attention to confidentiality.
- Schedule and prepare for hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.
- Assist in courtroom operations, including swearing in witnesses, managing exhibits, and recording outcomes.
- Receive and process payments for fines, fees, and bail; set up payment plans as needed.
- Maintain detailed records in the case management system; ensure accurate data entry and file tracking.
- Generate and distribute court notices, correspondence, and legal forms.
- Support compliance with court orders by monitoring probation terms, deferred findings, and payment agreements.
- Collaborate with other departments and external agencies as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONSPreferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
- Experience in a legal, court, or government office (preferred)
- Familiarity with court procedures, legal terminology, or case management systems is a plus
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience
- Ability to pass a background check
