Job Title: Multi-Specialty Professional Coder X 2
Summary:
Seeking experienced coders proficient in E/M and surgical coding to join a growing team. The role involves validating codes in EPIC for professional coding and billing, ensuring accuracy with modifiers, diagnoses, procedures, and place of service. Coders will handle high-volume specialties, including hospitalists, primary care, and various surgical services.
Responsibilities:
- Validate and assign CPT, ICD-10, and modifier codes in EPIC.
- Review and correct NCCI edits and ensure production coding compliance.
- Verify and adjust provider-selected E/M and procedure codes.
- Code surgical services, including cases without provider-selected CPT codes.
- Apply modifiers (e.g., Modifier 25, Shared Split, Global Periods).
- Collaborate with providers to clarify and correct documentation as needed.

- Certification: CPC (AAPC) required.
- Proficiency in E/M and/or surgical coding.
- Experience with high-volume coding across multiple specialties.
- Proficient in EPIC and 3M software.
- Ability to maintain 95% accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and official coding guidelines.
Testing and Hiring Process:
Complete a coding test with 10-12 sample encounters.Final candidates will participate in a video interview.Assignment Details:
- Type: Contract-to-Hire

- Hours: Flexible start times (as early as 6 AM EST), Monday–Friday.
- Location: Must reside in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, or Connecticut.
- Onsite Requirements: Must retrieve equipment onsite if hired.
