Pay
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $65,300 – $88,200 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
- Support video storytelling and productionforBehind the Band other Bruins content through writing, interviewing, scripting, editing, and pitching story ideas.
- Serve as lead writer for the Boston Bruins website, producing feature articles, game coverage, blogs, and editorial content that highlight players, coaches, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Field produce and create multimedia contentfor Bruins productions and social channels, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and social media guidelines
- Collaborate with internal teamsincluding marketing, partnerships, ticketing, alumni, and player relations to execute assigned projects
- Operate as a proactive, solutions-oriented producer, contributing to a positive team environment with a “yes-first” attitude and strong troubleshooting skills
More about you
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, english, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience covering professional or collegiate hockey, with at least 3 years in a team reporter, writer, or multimedia producer role
- Deep knowledge of hockey and NHL rules, trends, and terminology, with a strong understanding of the league landscape
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, fluent in AP Style or similar editorial standards
- Experience creating multimedia content, including video scripts, podcasts, and social media content; Adobe Creative Suite proficiency preferred
- Familiarity with content management systems and SEO best practices, with an active online presence and engaged hockey following
