Job Details

The Instructor/Operator (I/O) Team Lead provides training support services for the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC), conducting medical instruction and skill validation for the 68W Combat Medic in accordance with standards established by the US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE) and the Directorate of Simulation (DOS) under the Combat Medic Sustainment Division (CMSD).

The I/O-Team Lead will instruct a diverse group of soldiers across all MOSs in classroom, simulation lab, and field settings.

Normal working hours are Monday through Sunday, 0800 - 1700, excluding Federal Holidays, with an expectation of no more than 40 hours per week, including a one-hour unpaid lunch.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the ACLC Program Management Office (PMO) Representative at their MSTC site.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and uphold professional and ethical standards among all I/O staff.
  • Manage course scheduling to meet an annual throughput of 2,500 students.
  • Develop annual training schedules and communicate cancellations.
  • Schedule I/O sessions for all POIs and provide weekly status updates to the PMO.
  • Report monthly throughput and approve employee timecards and leave requests.
  • Report staff absences and concerns immediately to the PMO.
  • Refer external training requests to PMO and notify site visits by officials.
  • Ensure all POIs meet credentialing standards and deliver instruction without BMM.
  • Complete administrative duties, including student rosters, certifications, and course critiques.
  • Maintain training equipment, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and coordinate repairs.
  • Conduct inventories and assist in training preparation and cleanup.
  • Provide course materials, conduct after-action reviews, and deliver technical training.
  • Support exercise planning, operations, and medical training tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by ACLC.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current NREMT certification at EMT or higher (Paramedic preferred).
  • ARC BLS certification and instructor qualifications.
  • Annual completion of MEDIC Tables I-VII and Table VIII validation.
  • Ability to instruct all POIs and possess basic computer skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a CAC.
Eligibility Requirements
  • Former 68W or 18D NCO, Navy NEC 8404 or E-6+, or Air Force 4NOX1 or above.
  • Licensed RN, Physician Assistant, or Physician.
