Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM (40 hours/week)

Overview

Performs specialized MRI procedures on patients, resulting in diagnostic images for interpretation by a radiologist. Also provides the patient care essential to these procedures. Applies principles of MR safety. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist or MRI Technologist program, with completion of required clinical hours.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or recent graduate of a bachelor's degree program.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
  • Must hold at least one advanced registry in MRI and be actively working in the modality.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient in IV insertion.
  • Strong technical skills in medical imaging, including cross-sectional anatomy and 3D imaging.
  • Ability to operate MRI scanners, power injectors, imaging workstations, and related computer systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport patients and manipulate imaging equipment.
  • Must be able to adapt to fast-paced and potentially stressful situations.
