Yeah, this isn't that place.Our client, a leading global investment firm that's breaking the mold, is looking for a dynamic, proven and innovative motion design leader to take a front row seat on their growing team.The OpportunityAs the Motion Design Director, VP-Marketing, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual narrative of our brand through dynamic and engaging motion design. This is a unique opportunity to set the creative vision and lead the end-to-end execution of motion graphics across all company platforms. You will not only define our motion design and animation strategy but also be hands-on in bringing it to life, transforming complex financial concepts into visually digestible and compelling experiences for our diverse audience. Collaborating closely with internal teams and external video partners, you will craft innovative motion graphics, seamless transitions, and impactful animations that align with our brand's messaging, values, and objectives.This is a hybrid manager and individual contributor role, demanding both strong creative leadership and hands-on execution at a fast pace. You will be responsible for leading the creation and maintenance of on-screen animations, transition styles, and other dynamic motion design elements that ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience. • Establish and champion the overarching creative vision for company's motion design system.
• Collaborate closely with video producers, editors, designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure motion graphics are strategically aligned with brand guidelines and messaging objectives.
• Lead the conceptualization and execution of innovative animation styles, fluid transitions, informative infographics, and other dynamic visual elements that simplify and communicate intricate financial concepts in a captivating manner.
• Ensure meticulous adherence to brand guidelines across all motion design deliverables, maintaining a consistent and high-quality visual identity.
• Balance visionary leadership with hands-on execution, personally contributing to the creation of world-class motion experiences within established design principles.
• Provide expert creative direction throughout the video production lifecycle, from initial storyboarding to final edits, ensuring seamless integration of motion graphics elements.
• Stay at the forefront of the latest trends in motion design, cutting-edge animation techniques, and relevant technologies to continuously evolve our visual direction and enhance the effectiveness of video content.
• Guide and mentor designers, providing constructive feedback, fostering creative growth, and cultivating a collaborative and positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of 8+ years in a Motion Designer, Motion Director, or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in guiding and motivating teams of motion designers, successfully developing projects from initial concept to final delivery.
• In-depth understanding of all stages of the creative process, including effective project staffing, clear communication, insightful creative direction, and providing timely and constructive feedback to elevate creative solutions.
• Exceptional design skills with meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to guide, evaluate, and refine creative work to achieve excellence.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse functional teams and skillfully navigate creative input.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain a positive outlook under pressure, and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing a strong command of motion graphics, animation principles, and video production techniques.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Cinema 4D (or equivalent).
• Proven ability to design and implement advanced motion elements, including sophisticated transitions, compelling visual effects, and engaging 2D/3D animations.
• Strong understanding of how motion design can effectively simplify complex financial information for a broad audience.
• Exceptional attention to detail, a strong sense of creativity, and a genuine passion for visual storytelling.
• Experience within the financial products or services sector is a plus, but not a requirement.

Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
