Mosquito Control Technician Trainee - County of Seminole Florida : Job Details

Performs entry-level skilled work in the application of approved materials to control immature and adult mosquitoes. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Field Supervisor and Program Manager and is reviewed through submitted inspection of records and by direct observation. - - Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description. - - Additional compensation based on licensure. Essential Functions Conducts systematic daily checks of assigned areas in the County to locate noxious arthropod breeding areas. Learns to identify various mosquito species in both the adult and larval stages. Identify breeding problems and exercise good judgment in selecting appropriate control technique and/or treatment.
