PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $184,300.00-$225,000.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $143,000.00 - $266,300.00 annually. Compensation decisions are based on skills, experience, and education. If an offer is made, individual qualifications are considered. In addition to salary, performance-based incentives are available, with targets varying by role.

IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:
As the Mortgage Strategic Initiatives Director, you'll shape the future of mortgage services at BECU. You'll lead major initiatives from conception to completion, connecting teams, removing roadblocks, and creating clarity and momentum. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation, operational excellence, and deliver meaningful impact to members and communities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lead Strategic Mortgage Initiatives: Oversee large-scale, cross-functional mortgage projects, ensuring they align with strategic priorities and stay on track, on time, and within scope.
Build and Deliver Annual Plans: Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to develop and execute plans that align projects with organizational priorities.
Standardize Project Management Excellence: Establish frameworks, governance, and methodologies (like Agile or Lean) to ensure consistency, quality, and speed.
Orchestrate Roadmap Planning: Drive planning for project roadmaps, intake, resourcing, and prioritization. Track risks, complexity, and value delivery.
Solve Cross-Functional Challenges: Identify dependencies and risks across teams, influence resolutions, and minimize disruptions.
Develop and Inspire Talent: Mentor project managers to improve communication, performance, and delivery capabilities.
Ensure Audit Readiness: Prepare projects for audits with proper documentation, controls, and compliance.
Foster Stakeholder Transparency: Build relationships and communicate goals, timelines, and progress clearly using effective tools and metrics.
Manage Budgets with Precision: Track and reconcile finances for programs and projects to ensure transparency and accountability.
Support Change and Adoption: Plan for training needs and support strategies during transitions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of relevant experience in program, project, or portfolio management.
Experience in the financial industry with operations and strategy execution knowledge.
Experience leading project management efforts for system conversions or integrations.
Mortgage industry experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and certifications (e.g., PMP, Green Belt).
Proven leadership of large project teams.
Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Strategic planning skills.
Excellent communication skills, including engaging executives and board members.
Strong leadership, planning, and negotiation skills.
