Mortgage Staff Accountant - United Community Financial Corporation : Job Details

Record daily journal entries for loan fundings and sales from the cash clearing account. Reconcile loan-level data from Encompass to the general ledger. Ensure accurate cash recording in the general ledger. Assist in preparing and reviewing monthly loan officer commissions and operational incentives. Record monthly fair value marks from Compass Analytics for interest rate locks, loans held for sale, and hedge instruments. Review and record Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) quarterly. Maintain SOX-compliant financial recordkeeping and reporting controls. Keep accounting policies and procedures current. Reconcile monthly servicing activities with Dovenmuehle Mortgage. Reconcile UCMS construction fees and process refunds at modification. Reconcile appraisal accounts and minimize write-offs. Provide accurate mortgage data for regulatory and SEC filings.
