FLSA Classification: Non-ExemptWork Location On-site Company HeadquartersSummary: The Mortgage Documents Specialist processes closing packages and trailing documents and ensures they reach warehouse banks and investors as expeditiously as possible, adhering to company policies and procedures. This is a paperwork intensive job. The incumbent also manages the daily administrative needs of the office including mail and packages, bank deposits, documenting and storing returned equipment, and managing document shredding. Collaborates with Servicing and Accounting, in day to day work. Essential Job Functions:
- Take in US mail and carrier packages, sort and distribute as needed.
- Process closing packages the day they are received
- Scan and send trailing documents and retain per company policy
- Manage document security, retention and destruction schedule
- Process checks and make bank deposits.
- Take in returned equipment, document, and store securely.
- Communicate with vendors for copier/scanner and shredding services
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- May assist in areas such as Servicing, and Accounting.
- Other assigned duties as requested
Requirements Qualifications and Abilities: Associate's degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience. Self-motivated, can-do attitude Ability to wear many hats , with the maturity, work ethic, and focus to get the job done reliably each day Accuracy and attention to detail General knowledge of mortgage products and processes Knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills
