Job Type Full-timeDescriptionData AnalystMonroe County Office of Mental HealthRochester, New York: fully onsiteFULL-TIME, nonexempt : 40 hoursCoordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI) seeks a talented Data Analyst to contribute their expertise in providing essential business services to our provider organizations and customers. The Data Analyst contributes to the success of the Monroe County Office of Mental Health (MCOMH) by serving as a Subject Matter expert for various initiatives and information system applications. The Data Analyst is responsible for identifying internal/external customer needs, as well as data analysis and reporting. The function is critical in providing technical assistance in the development and maintenance of data infrastructure, as well as customer support.CCSI is partnering with the Monroe County Office of Mental Health to hire a Data Analyst. This position is employed by CCSI and working on behalf of the Monroe County Office of Mental Health.In this role, you will be
  • Working closely with Chief, Information Management and Analytics to design, implement, and maintain a data infrastructure to support reporting and monitoring of internal and external behavioral health services.
  • Using various analytic tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, Alteryx, SQL) to produce reports and analyses that help customers understand service needs, operating practices, and outcomes.
  • Developing a solid working knowledge of a wide range of public and proprietary data sources, including client-identifiable and summarized data (e.g., PSYCKES, NYS OASAS Client Data System, Monroe County Mental Health Transport Data).
  • Collaborating with other team members to efficiently import, clean, transform, validate, and model data to support analysis objectives.
  • Ensuring that the development of data collection tools and analysis programming adheres to common quality standards regarding structure, logic, documentation, and storage.
  • Contributing to the development of project reports, summaries, and presentations of data results/deliverables.
  • Supporting research strategies and solutions to identify alternative methods to optimize efficiency, create visualizations, and report results.
  • Supporting information systems and applications used by internal MCOMH teams (e.g., SalesForce, ClearPoint Strategies) for implementation, administrative, and data maintenance functions.
  • Creating training materials and gives verbal training instructions to customers and other staff members, advising them on the best ways to use applications, software and data resources to meet their desired goals and complete tasks.
  • Utilizing technology effectively to conduct online meetings, webinars, and conference calls to provide consultation and training remotely.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associates required, Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Information Management, OR equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and/or data system support is required. Behavioral health experience preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS ACCESS and Excel (both spreadsheet and graphic features). Experience working with SQL databases and Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong analytic background, including the ability to frame the issue for analysis, define and execute an appropriate analytic plan, interpret the data, and communicate key findings to customers. Research and methods background is a plus.
