The Monitor Technician will assist the patient care team in providing efficient, quality care to the monitored patient by continuous observation of the EKG monitor and will assist in the detection and prevention of any life threatening arrhytmias. She/he must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. Qualifications. Requirements:Minimum of one year clinical experience in an acute hospital setting as a Monitor Technician, EKG technician or Cardiology Technician highly preferred.
