Location: Chelmsford, MA
Responsibilities
- Safely assist students as needed, including helping them enter and exit the vehicle, use seat belts, and securely install car seats and booster seats. Lifting may be required.
- Monitor student behavior, provide guidance, and implement corrective steps as assigned.
- Report unsafe or inappropriate student behavior to management and follow directions.
- Communicate effectively in English with students, parents, teachers, and Van Pool staff.
- Demonstrate interpersonal communication skills while using Van Pools two-way radio system.
- Follow written and verbal directions from supervisors and work with school age children with special needs.
Qualifications
- Age 18+
- Ability to pass a background check, CORI/SORI, drug screen
- Effective communication in English (spoken and written)
What Youll Be Doing
- As needed, assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle, belting, and securing them safely in seats.
- Must have the physical capability to safely install car seats and booster seats.
- Follow directions from supervisors and work effectively with school age children, including those with special needs.
What We Offer
- 20-25 hours per week
- $17.00 per hour
- Split Shifts: 5:30am-9:00am and 1:00pm-5:00pm (hours vary by route)
