- Responsible for monetary exchanges for the Money Room.
Essential Job Functions:
- Loads money, when needed, in Cash Recyclers during their shift.
- Compares workers' reports of cash collected and paid out to verify accuracy of transactions.
- Responsible for all money room exchanges during his/her shift.
- Proofs all monetary exchanges with dealers, clerks and change runner.
- Collects currency from self-serve terminals if applicable.
- Assists Tote with any self-serve currency jams.
- Coordinates with Money Room Supervisor any needs for the shift.
- Assists all money room team members with problems that arise during their shift.
- Adheres to and enforces organizational and department policies and procedures.
- Communicates information to Assistant Money Room Manager and Money Room Manager.
- Interacts with personnel and the general public in a professional, ethical manner.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.
QualificationsEducation & Training:
- High school diploma or GED; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
- 2 years' work related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Cash Handling experience and basic math skill required.
- Ability to follow company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ability to pay close attention with many distractions and carefully make cash exchanges.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, including problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and team members of all other departments.
- Ability to use good judgment, including grasping and assessing the facts of a situation and draw correct conclusions.
- Ability to prioritize time so that work is accomplished on a dependable basis; is reliable.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, including being proactive, working independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a team; work with interruptions; and work with detailed information/data.
- Accurate data entry and 10-key by touch required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Texas Racing Commission license.
Training:
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Texas Racing Commission License (TXRC)
