Position Summary
The Molecular Technologist I is responsible for pre-analytical and analytical processes associated with specimen processing and test performance in Weill Cornell Medicine molecular and genomic laboratory. This role is responsible for performing selected procedures in the wet lab associated with molecular and genomic methods, including but not limited to sample preparation, library prep, sequencing, nucleotide extraction, quality control, Sanger and, RTPCR.
Job ResponsibilitiesBachelor's Degree
ExperienceBachelor's in clinical laboratory technology or a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or the physical sciences. 1-3 years of work experience, preferably in a molecular or genomics laboratory or completion of an accredited Molecular Laboratory Science Program.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience in Molecular testing and lab techniques. Familiarity with common laboratory equipment and techniques.
